About 80 militiamen stood in ranks in the Concord village commons, as local spectators looked on. Captain Parker, in command, who was suffering from tuberculouis, understood that his group was vastly outnumbered as they stood in harm's way.
When the scrimish ended 8 Massachusetts men were dead and 10 were wounded. Captain Parker's own cousin was run through. Only one British soldier was wounded.

Velma Hart, an attractive, middle aged woman, obviously educated, in a calm manner made this statement to President Obama. (He was holding a lot of small "neighborhood" meetings trying to reverse his falling popularity.)

A very impressive person, Velma Hart was the Chief Financial Officer with AmVets, a Maryland Veterans Group.
TWO MONTHS AFTER HER COMMENT TO THE PRESIDENT, VELMA HART WAS FIRED FROM HER JOB. The reason is obvious, isn't it?
Velma Hart is a modern day Minute Man, in my opinion!

I PLAN TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED.
WILL YOU JOIN ME?
God bless each of you and God Bless the USA.
