AMERICA'S JOBLESS PROBLEM: It May Not Be A Lack Of Jobs!

Despite the massive pool of unemployed Americans, there is a growing number of unfilled positions.  Shouldn't the glut of jobless Americans immediately take any open job?

WELL, YES AND NO!

An example of "no" is the report of a 52-year-old mechanic turning down dozens of jobs during the 59 weeks he was unemployed because they didn't pay more than the $450 a week he was collecting in unemployment benefits.

I WATCHED THIS HAPPEN WITH A NEIGHBOR FOR WHOM SEVERAL PEOPLE FOUND HIM WORK BUT HE JUST COLLECTED UNEMPLOYMENT UNTIL HE WAS CALLED BACK TO HIS OLD JOB.

Sadly, a large percentage of Americans are not preparing themselves for jobs.  Government encourages this attitude by giving what has not been earned.

There are reports of students poking fun at teachers who tried to encourage education.  The student explained to the teacher how the welfare system worked and when she would be entitled.  A fatherless child was part of her plan for life.

Higher education leads to employment in better paying jobs.  By 2018 almost two thirds of all occupations in the united States will require a college degree, according to a current study.  Yet, the high school dropout rate remains high, especially among minority groups, Orientals excepted.

There is a "Take Care Of Me" culture in our country that make me cringe.  I know a young mother who, when she was a 16-year-old, intentionally got pregnant.  I say intentionally because at that age she had already had two abortions.  She knew how it worked!

She recently lost her job because she had not graduated from high school or obtained a GED.  Is she concerned?  She didn't appear to be, she is back on the dole.

Our country needs more people like my granddaughter, Jessica Elaine Pierce.  Jesi has elected to take care of herself since she was 18-years-of-age.  At times she has had to work three jobs to do so.

In June of this year Jesi graduated from Northeast Ohio College with a degree in Respiratory Care.  As a Respiratory Specialist she got a job at her choice of children's hospitals providing repiratory care to premmie babies, just what she wanted to do.

Young, employed and having a PERFECT CREDIT SCORE, after her second check she treated herself to her first new car.  She has owned used cars before, paying off the loans early on each of them.

What an injustice it would be to take money away from Jessica who has worked so hard and give it to near-do-wells who make bad decisions and refuse to work!  A transfer of wealth is not the American way!
JESSICA AND HER NEW CAR
When Jesi bought her car she knew more about the car, the market, the actual value than did the salesman.  She bought the car on her terms.

OUR COUNTRY DESPERATELY NEEDS MORE YOUNG PEOPLE LIKE JESI!

I think our country also needs more hungry people.  YES, I SAID I THINK OUR COUNTRY NEEDS MORE HUNGRY PEOPLE!  What we don't need is to continue encouraging our people to depend upon others to take care of them.  If they were hungry, they'd take the available jobs.  I see lots of "help wanted" ads.

The good and the bad.  It has ever been so.  We need to allow the bad to experience the results of their decisions in life.

God Bless you and your's.  God Bless the USA.
