NAVY 27 ARMY 21 - GO NAVY! Now, For Ten More Years!

NAVY'S ALEXANDER TEICH GOES AIRBORN ON THIS 10 YARD TD DRIVE
Today, in their 112th game, Navy beat Army 27-21.  It was a tough, grind-it-out game on both sides.  Navy made the fewest mistakes and extended their win streak to another all time record of 10 straight games.  Navy now leads the series 56-49-7.  After singing NAVY BLUE AND GOLD at the end of the game, the midshipmen all chanted Ten More Years.  YEAH NAVY!

KIMBERLY AND WALT WATCHING 2010 ARMY NAVY GAME TOGETHER
This is the first  game in well over 20 years that I have not watched it with my daughter Kimberly.  The game was played a week later and started two and a half hours later than normal.  Before she knew that, she made arrangements to entertain an early dinner group on this date.  I KNOW WE EACH EQUALLY MISSED THIS TRADITION.  Next year!

Another first, the game was played in Washington, DC at FedEx Field, home stadium of the Washington Redskins.  Actually, the 85,000 seat stadium is small for this game, the nation's number one rivalary, ahead of Auburn-Alabama or Michigan-Ohio State.

President Obama hogged all the spotlight possible at the game.  In addition to the normal escort and changing of sides at half time, he did the coin toss and  joined the tv commentators until they, politely of course, managed to cut him off.  I would hope that he will need all the air time he can get and still get voted out of office.  The nation can't afford 4 more years.

I KNOW, I KNOW, I SHOULDN'T RUIN A PERFECTLY GOOD NAVY WIN WITH AN OPINION ON OBAMA.  I'M SORRY!  HERE, I'LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING TO LAUGH ABOUT.
