ONE IN TWO AMERICANS IN POVERTY! Where Are They?

WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM   WISDOM

LIFE, LIBERTY, AND THE "PURSUIT" OF HAPPINESS"

Poverty is defined as the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions.  America has the highest poverty rates among the industrial nations with 97.3 million in low income category and 49.1 million below the poverty rate.

LET ME SHOW YOU A PICTURE OF PEOPLE 100% IN POVERTY!

THE POVERTY STRICKEN FIGHTING FOR $180 SHOES

According to the U. S. Census data, a record number of Americans have fallen into poverty, nearly 1 in 2 Americans.  The latest census data depicts a middle class that is shrinking.  Safety net programs such as food stamps and tax credits kept poverty from rising even higher.

Robert Rector, a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation questioned whether some people classified as poor or low-income actually suffer material hardship, certainly not if you look at their decent sized homes, multiple cars and wide screen tvs.  Middle class Americans with a family of four fall below the low-income threshold income at $45,000 annually.

If 1 in 2 Americans are living in poverty, why can't I find a place to park my car in the shopping mall?  Look how these people are dressed.  In rags? Hardly!

Oh, Yes!  It is socially acceptable to shop in the mall.  If people can't afford to shop in the mall, they must be in poverty.  BUT THE MALLS ARE ALL CROWDED!
WHAT IS THE LOOK OF POVERTY?

Hungry, worried, pooly dressed, the look of poverty.
DO YOU SEE MUCH OF THIS TODAY?
No, I thought not.

"THE HUNGRY, WORRIED AND POORLY DRESSED, POVERTY STRICKEN OF TODAY.

Churches in Barberton, Ohio, my home town, feed people, taking turns day-to- day.  I have never, once, seen people lined up for a free meal.  LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT POVERTY  LOOKS LIKE IN REAL LIFE.   Feeding the children in the Great Depression.
On-the-other hand, try getting into a fast food joint.  TAKE A LOOK AT WENDYS.

ENUFF SAID, I GUESS!  I DON'T BUY THIS SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE POVERTY!
 One last thought:

As you slide down the banister of life,
may the splinters never point the wrong way!

God Bless You and Yours

GOD BLESS THE  USA
