You just might reach your life's destination better if you remembered
AN HOUR WITH YOUR GRANDCHILDREN CAN MAKE YOU FEEL YOUNG AGAIN
ANYTHING LONGER THAN THAT AND YOU START TO AGE QUICKLY!
CHILDREN ARE BORN, TRADITIONS ARE PASSED, LOVE CONTINUES ON
Our eleven-year-old granddaughter, Delanie Rose Pierce Boggs--Rosebud--came to spend the night. She considers this bedroom, with the big bed, TV and computer, to be her very own.
Although she lives in a beautiful, over 8,000 square foot home, where she has her own bedroom and bath, she enjoys coming to Grandpa and Nana Julie's little, 108-year-old home, with one bathroom no less,
As we left her at home today she asked her Mother when she could visit us again.
My grandchildren believe I'm the oldest thing in the world.
After two or three hours with them, I believe it too!
She probably likes to come to our house for the healthy food.
Yep! PIZZA PIE! A can of chocolate cookies too.
Oh, yes! Cuties. Those small oranges that are so sweet, no seeds and very easy to peel. She had never had them and ate six before she cold make up her mind. Un Huh!
Nana Julie stopped at Sam's Club on the way home and bought her a whole bag full.
Grandchildren don't stay young forever, which is good
because grandfathers have only so many horsey rides in them.
After dinner Julie and Rosebud watched a silly movie together. Something about the desert, sword fights, horse chases and a pretty girl. They were both curled up in a soft chair with a warm throw.
Today Rosebud and her Nana went to Miss Molly's Tea Room in Medina, Ohio. A place that is fancy beyond belief--no place for a man, believe me. It is a place where you can pay for a feast and get a pretty sample. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Julie and four friends go to tea rooms around the state. Julie once got me into Miss Molly's and I'm still concerned that someone may have seen me. Umm
Not to be outdone by Nana's tea room trip, I took Rosebud to one of her favorite shopping places. The Cracker Barrel. I had seen a motion-activated singing blue bird in a cage, sitting on flowers that constantly changed color lights.
My daughter, Kimberly, Rosebud's mom, reached for something on the table where the bird was sitting in it's cage. Motion-activated, the bird jumped on it's cage, flapped it wings and started to sing. Startled, Kimberly jumped. FUNNY!
.I am blessed with one daughter, six granddaughters and three great granddaughters. Julie has a like number. What fun! (Yes, I have two sons, two grandsons and three great grandsons--but, they're just boys!)
