WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS SAID: Guns, Yes or No?

YOUR PERSONAL GPS
You might reach your life's destination better if you remember
THE NEW YOUR TIMES EDITORIAL PAGE IS LIKE A OUIJA BOARD THAT
HAS ONLY THREE ANSWERS, NO MATTER WHAT THE QUESTION:  HIGHER TAXES
MORE RESTRICTIONS ON POLITICAL SPEECH AND GUN CONTROL

SAYING GUNS CAUSE MURDER IS LIKE SAYING
STEERING WHEELS CAUSE CAR WRECKS - Stanley Victor Paskavich

In the "Culture of Corruption" that is the Obama Administration, Americans have bought 91% more guns than they did during the first term of the Bush Administration.

OBVIOUSLY, AMERICANS ARE MORE INSECURE AND FEEL THE NEED OF EVEN MORE GUNS FOR PROTECTION OF FAMILY AND PROPERTY.

Exactly what did our Founding Fathers have to say about gun ownership?

ALL YOU NEED FOR HAPPINESS IS A GOOD GUN,
A GOOD HORSE AND A GOOD WIFE - Daniel Boone
(In that order, Dan'l?)

GEORGE WASHINGTON
Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself.  They are the American People's liberty, teeth and keystone under independence.

The church, the plow, the prairie wagon and citizen's firearms are indeliby related....
to ensure peace, security and happiness, the rifle and pistol are equally indespensable.

IT'S SAID, EVERYONE HAS A GUN IN THEIR CAR IN DETROIT

SAMUEL ADAMS
Among the natural right.....

A right to life

Secondly, to liberty,

Thirdly, to property,

Together with the right to defend themselves
in the best manner they can!

I AM IN SUPPORT OF THE NRA POSITION ON GUN CONTROL President Clinton

JOHN ADAMS

Arms in the hands of the citizen may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self defense.

PRIVATE SELF DEFENSE

Pretty clear, huh?

So also said George Mason, Thomas Paine
Thomas Jefferson, Richard Henry Lee
and others.

THE GREAT OBJECT IS THAT EVERY MAN BE ARMED.
EVERYONE WHO IS ABLE MAY HAVE A GUN - Patrick Henry

If the 2nd Amendment can be infringed upon, how about the 1st Amendment?  It is also under attack.

How about the 5th Amendment, the right not to speak against your own best interests.

ANOTHER GREAT QUOTE:

TO CONQUER A NATION, FIRST DISARM IT'S
CITIZENS.  WHO SAID THAT?  Adolph Hitler

Around the corner from my home is a half way house for the mentally ill.  A really far out guy, walking up the middle of the street, kept shouting, "280 Fifth Street, AIREDALE", referring to my home and my giant Airedale, Jake.  Disturbed individuals keep going by and I now let them see my Giant Schnauzer, Gunner.

Thugs broke into a home of an elderly person, burning them with a cigarette, for their social security money--the actual burning was done by a girl, if you can believe it.

Someone broke into an upstairs apartment and murdered a man.  I don't think this case was ever solved.

ALL THIS NEARBY MY HOME IN AN AVERAGE
AMERICAN NEIGHBORHOOD

OUR FOUNDING FATHERS RECOGNIZED OUR NEED TO PROTECT OURSELVES.  THEY GAVE US THE RIGHT TO DO SO WITH A GUN.  I HAVE ADDED A GUARD DOG.

STRICT GUN CONTROLS ISN'T WORKING FOR CHICAGO

GOD BLESS YOU
AND YOURS

GOD BLESS
THE USA
