A Metlife survey indicates the highest
Daily rates for nursing home care was $655 in Alaska.
The average cost for nursing home care being $188 per day, consider a better way for the eldery. Combining a long term stay discount and a senior discount, a senior can stay in a Holiday Inn for only $59.23 per night.
That low price includes breakfast and some have happy hours in the afternoon. That leaves $128.77 a day for lunch and dinner in any restaurant we want, or room service, laundry, gratuities and special movies.
The Holiday Inn will also provide a spa, swimming pool, a workout room, a lounge, free toothpaste, razors, shampoo, soap and maid service.
For a $5 tip you will have the entire staff scrambling to help you. They will treat you like an important guest, not a patient. There is a bus stop right out front and a handicap bus will also pick you up--if you can fake a decent limp--I do it with a cane. Take the free airport shuttle bus and fly someplace.
Living in a motel, you will meet lively people just like yourself. Always wanted to see Hawaii? Hey! They have a Holiday Inn waiting for you.
TV broken, light bulb need changing, mattress need replaced? No problem. Don't worry about seeing the family, they will wear out their welcome.
