THE LOUIE SYNDROME
Why "Louie", why not Tom, Dick or Harry, or even Suzy Q? Fact is I really knew a Louie, as described, and to my wife oft times say "Yep, so-and-so is a Louie".
ALWAYS MISTRUST A SUBORDINATE
WHO NEVER FINDS FAULT WITH HIS SUPERIORS - William Collins
But with the Louie's of this world constructive criticism has given way to constant faultfinding with an obsession over finding flaws and imperfections, finger pointing. It is a way of life.
DON'T FIND FAULT, FIND A REMEDY - Henry Ford
Never allow anyone to rain on your parade and cast a pall of gloom and defeat on your life! And, take care not to be a finger pointer yourself. Remember that no talent, no self-denial, no brains, no character are required to set up in the fault finding business. Nothing external can have any power over you unless you permit it. Your life is too precious to be wasted combating hate, jealousy, and envy. Remember, only God can shape a flower, but any foolish child can tear it to pieces.
IT IS MUCH EASIER TO FIND FAULT WITH OTHERS
THAN TO BE FAULTLESS OURSELVES - Samuel Richardson

PRESIDENT HARRY TRUMAN |
Harry Truman was known for saying "The Buck Stops Here". With the Louie's of this world, the buck never stops at their door. The Louie that inspires this blog was a finger pointer for decades in industry, then started a career with the government in the EPA, the official finger pointer department.
When the Louie's are offered a position as example setter in correcting the fly-in-the-buttermilk problems, they always decline. They consider themselves above associating with the worker bees. They never seem to understand that they themselves are just drone bees, of nil value in the bigger picture.
THE ABSENT ARE NEVER WITHOUT FAULT
NOR THE PRESENT WITHOUT EXCUSE - Michael Caine

WORLD CLASS FINGER POINTER |
Matthew 7:3 (KJV) asks "And why beholdest thou the mote that is thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye".
There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to find fault with the rest of us - James Truslow.
Why can't we all just get along? Well, one of the reasons is that the finger pointers of this world are not really interested in getting along, finding solutions. They just want to place the blame on others.

IS TO BE WHAT WE PRETEND TO BE - Socrates

MICHAEL JORDAN |
Basketball great, Michael Jordan, said "I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career, I've lost over 300 games. Twenty-six times I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And, that my friends, is why I succeed".
The only people who never make mistakes in life are those who never do anything in life, thereby making the greatest mistake of all. Home run great, Babe Ruth, was also the strike out champ. In life we must each one of us step up to the plate and take a swing and let the chips fall.
JUST REMEMBER, THERE IS A RIGHT WAY AND A WRONG WAY
TO DO EVERYTHING AND THE WRONG WAY IS TO KEEP TRYING TO
MAKE EVERYBODY ELSE DO IT THE RIGHT WAY

AZ. GOV. JAN BREWER Doing a little finger point back |
Finger-pointers and fault finders never seem to understand that what they do is disliked by one and all. I've never known a Louie to go on to bigger and better things in life. Still, they remain smug in their self righteousness. There are none more blind than those who will not see.

I know the personality well. What I missed in your blog was why you named it Louie. Love, Mark
Hi Son,
Your's is a perfect example of constructive criticism. I immediately added a line to the blog answering your question.
