BOOKS:  Showing A Grandson The World

Wisdom    Wisdom    Wisdom    Wisdom    Wisdom    Wisdom    Wisdom

                YOUR PERSONAL GPS
You just might reach your life's destination better if you remember
GOOD WRITERS ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF LEAVING SIGN POSTS SAYING,
TOUR MY WORLD, SEE IT AND FEEL IT THROUGH MY EYES, I AM YOUR GUIDE

People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.  Joseph Newton

Riley James Pierce Boggs is my grandson.  When he was born he, and his mother, my daughter Kimberly, immediately began to dangerously lose weight.  For the first six weeks of Riley's life, I fed him, though his mother's breast feeding, to fatten him up.  I cooked all their meals.  It was cream this and gravy that all washed down with double thick milk shakes.  I turned the weight loss around the first week.

Riley is now sixteen, has his driver's license and will be a junior in high school next year.  I have made every effort to guide Riley in life.  I have given him a small library of books which he has read and written reports for me. Books such as Think and Grow Rich, and On Walden's Pond.

I am so excited about a new book which I know will be a great guide for him. "And, The Good News Is...."

Shared joy is double joy;  shared sorrow is half a sorrow.

This is a picture of Dana Perino's book from Amazon.  I bought and read it on my kindle.  I first saw the book on sale at Sam's, came home and ordered it.  I went back to Sam's to buy a copy for Riley and it was sold out.

Perino's book is challenging fellow Fox celebrity Bill O'Rielly for first place in the ratings.  O'Rielly has three books on the list in 1st, 4th and 5th place, no small undertaking!  But, "And, The Good News Is" is in second place and SOLD OUT!

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!  It is interesting reading but it also provides an inside look at Washington and personal guides for life.

Our greatest glory may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should all dance.

Dana Perino, a Wyoming cow girl, is co-host of  Fox News channel's"The Five". The five co-hosts partake in thoughtful and lively discussion of everything from culture to sports.  The show is popular.

Perino's resume includes a long list of prestigious positions including White House Press Secretary for President George W. Bush.  She graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communication from Colorado State University and went on to earn a Masters Degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois.

God, if I cant have what I want, let me want what I have

Remember the name, Riley James Pierce Boggs. Maybe not in my life time, being 8 years past my life expectancy at age 84, but in time to come I am absolutely convinced that Riley will be as well know as Dana Perino is today.  Silently quoting "invictus" to myself, I took an hourly job in a tire plant and 27 years later, when 21 tire plants closed, I had been the Manager of Tire Production for 8 years.  Becoming a stock broker at age 48, I retired a vice president at age 60.  It can be done.  Riley will do it!

Man who wait for roast duck to fly into his mouth must wait very, very long time.

MAY GOD BLESS RILEY

MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS

MAY GOD BLESS THE USA
